The New Cash Crop, digital photomontage, 2018. This image combines a photo I took of a contemporary sub-division with a public domain FSA photograph, Farmer in His Field, by John Vachon, 1938. The intent is to call attention to development at the expense of agriculture.
Walmart Bought the Farm, digital photomontage, 2021. This image combine a contemporary photograph of a Walmart parking lot with a photograph of my grandfather's farm from around 1913. My grandfather lost his farm during the Great Depression.
