Gary Jameson and Betty Carlson-Jameson began Carlson-Jameson Art and Design in 1979. Since that time they have done historical restorations for several antique carousels and carousel figures, architectural ornamentation, and church statuary. Clients have include municipalities, museums, churches, and amusement parks, as well as individuals.Shown here are (left) Dentzel carousel kangaroo (one of three known) originally from Chesapeake Beach, Maryland, now on display at the Chesapeake Beach Railway Museum.(above) a Herschell-Spillman roached mane carousel horse, restored for a private client.Our carousel restoration work has been published in the book Painted Ponies by William Manns.
